Six Sindh Police Constables Promoted to ASI Through Competitive Exam

Six constables from the Sindh Police have been selected as Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) after successfully passing the Sindh Public Service Commission examination. A ceremony was held in their honor, hosted by Inspector General of Sindh Police, Ghulam Nabi Memon. Addressing the event, IG Memon praised the constables’ achievement, stating that their success in the competitive exam marks a promising step forward for the force.

IG Memon highlighted ongoing efforts to transform the “thana culture,” creating a more public-friendly environment at police stations. He noted that the government has allocated funds to further enhance this initiative. The Sindh Police’s campaign against crime, particularly drug-related offenses, is yielding positive results, with the department stepping up to serve communities in times of need.

Emphasizing the police’s core mandate, Memon said that providing security services is a primary expectation of the public. Effective teamwork and a focus on delivering better security are key to curbing crime, he added, underscoring that collaborative efforts within the department consistently produce strong outcomes.
