KP PTI Finalizes Strategy to Mobilize Support for August 5 Rally

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has finalized its preparations to hold a major rally on August 5, marking two years since party founder Imran Khan’s imprisonment. The rally is being positioned as a show of strength and a protest against his continued detention.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur chaired a key planning meeting on Saturday, during which the logistics and route for the rally were confirmed. The procession is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. from Hayatabad Toll Plaza and will pass through Ring Road and GT Road before concluding at Qila Bala Hisar.

Gandapur called on PTI workers, leaders, and supporters from across the province to actively participate in the rally. He emphasized the importance of mass public turnout to express solidarity with Imran Khan and to send a strong message about what the party sees as unjust political persecution.

“The August 5 rally is not just a protest—it is a symbolic moment to remind the nation of the injustice done to our leader,” Gandapur stated during the meeting. He added that PTI has developed a well-coordinated strategy to ensure the rally is peaceful, impactful, and widely attended.

The party aims to make August 5 a significant date in its political calendar, using it to reaffirm its commitment to justice and democratic freedoms, while mobilizing its grassroots supporters in the ongoing campaign for Khan’s release.
