KARACHI — The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has officially announced the postponement of all examinations scheduled for Wednesday, May 28, 2025, in observance of Youm-e-Takbeer, a national day commemorating Pakistan’s nuclear tests conducted in 1998.

In a statement issued Tuesday evening, BIEK confirmed that the decision was made in line with the Sindh government’s notification declaring May 28 as a public holiday across the province. As a result, all intermediate exams scheduled for that day will be rescheduled, and new dates will be announced shortly.

Youm-e-Takbeer marks a significant day in Pakistan’s history—the successful detonation of nuclear devices in the Chagai hills of Balochistan in 1998, making Pakistan the first nuclear power in the Islamic world.
