Atlas Honda Unveils CG150 Motorcycle and Icon e Electric Scooter in Major Dual Launch

In a bold step toward innovation and sustainability, Atlas Honda has rolled out two new models in Pakistan: the all-new Honda CG150 motorcycle and its debut electric scooter, the Icon e. This marks the company’s most significant product expansion in years, and its formal entry into the electric vehicle (EV) space.

Honda CG150: Classic Appeal with Modern Engineering

After much anticipation, the CG150 is officially on sale at Rs459,900. Targeted at riders seeking a reliable yet stylish commuting solution, the motorcycle delivers a fusion of retro design and updated performance features.

Under the hood, the CG150 sports a 150cc 4-stroke SOHC engine with both kick-start and self-start capabilities. Its five-speed all-forward gear transmission and Combined Braking System (CBS) provide improved control and safety, especially in urban and semi-urban environments.

What sets the CG150 apart is its visual and mechanical refinement:

  • Round LED headlamp
  • Digital-analog meter cluster
  • Chrome-finished fenders, exhaust, and suspension
  • Alloy wheels
  • Matte green fuel tank with golden branding

Notably, Atlas Honda says this isn’t just a cosmetic update. The bike includes an upgraded engine equipped with a balancer shaft, similar to what’s found in the CB150F, minimizing vibrations for a smoother ride.

In the competitive 150cc segment, the CG150 is positioned as a rival to Suzuki’s GS150 and Yamaha’s YBR 125 DX. While its price tag is higher than Suzuki’s offering, the CG150 aims to win over consumers with its advanced features and refreshed design.

Honda Icon e: A New Era of Electric Commuting

Simultaneously, Honda has taken its first step into the electric market with the Icon e scooter, priced at Rs419,900. Designed for everyday use in cities and short-distance travel, the Icon e is Honda’s answer to the rising demand for eco-friendly vehicles and aligns with Pakistan’s National Electric Vehicle Policy (NEVP).

According to company sources, the Icon e has completed road tests and regulatory checks, signaling that Honda is ready to scale its electric offerings in Pakistan. While exact technical specs of the scooter are yet to be fully disclosed, its launch confirms Honda’s commitment to clean energy solutions and urban mobility.

What This Means for Pakistan’s Two-Wheeler Market

The simultaneous launch of a traditional fuel-powered bike and an electric scooter reflects a dual strategy—serving both loyal customers of Honda’s petrol models and a new generation leaning toward electric transport.

With these releases, Atlas Honda is not only diversifying its lineup but also reinforcing its long-term presence in Pakistan’s evolving mobility landscape. Whether you’re a fan of classic motorcycles or ready to go electric, Honda’s latest launch has something for everyone.
