50 Cent Mocks Diddy Amid Trial, Rekindling Years-Long Feud

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is once again making headlines for taking jabs at fellow hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs—this time, in light of testimony from Combs’ ongoing federal trial. The rap heavyweight used social media to lampoon Diddy after being mentioned in court, continuing a longstanding, often fiery rivalry that spans nearly two decades.

50 Cent Responds to Trial Testimony

During Diddy’s current trial on racketeering and sex trafficking charges, former assistant Capricorn Clark reportedly testified about a tense elevator encounter involving Diddy and 50 Cent’s late manager, Chris Lighty. Clark alleged Diddy told Lighty, “I don’t like all the back and forth—I like guns.”

Never one to shy away from a public spat, 50 Cent quickly took to social media. He mocked the alleged quote with captions like:

“CUT 🎬 Wait a minute PUFFY’s got a gun, I can’t believe this. I don’t feel safe 😔 LOL.”

He followed with another post:

“Oh my goodness, itty bitty Diddy wants me dead. I have to lay low ☹️… I think I’m gonna hide out at the playoff game tonight. LOL.”

CNN reached out to 50 Cent’s team for comment, but no official response has been provided.

A Beef Decades in the Making

The feud between the two artists dates back to at least 2006, when 50 Cent released a diss track titled “The Bomb,” in which he insinuated Diddy knew the identity of The Notorious B.I.G.’s killer—an accusation Diddy has long denied. Despite being close to Biggie at the time of the 1997 shooting, Diddy has never been charged and has called such claims “nonsense.”

50 Cent also suggested Diddy had ties to Tupac Shakur’s murder, another unproven claim the Bad Boy Records founder has dismissed.

Trolling as a Signature Move

While some have viewed the ongoing feud as part marketing, part rivalry, 50 Cent has consistently taken digs at Diddy on everything from his career to his age. His posts escalated after Cassie Ventura’s lawsuit in late 2023, in which she accused Diddy of rape and abuse. The suit was quickly settled, but federal investigations into Diddy intensified in 2024, leading to raids on his homes in Los Angeles and Miami.

Reacting to the raids, 50 tweeted:

“Now it’s not Diddy do it, it’s Diddy done. They don’t come like that unless they got a case.”

Diddy’s Denials and Son’s Support

Diddy has publicly downplayed the feud. In a 2018 radio interview, he brushed off 50 Cent’s antics, saying:

“I don’t have no beef with Fif. He loves me… I don’t take it personally.”

Meanwhile, Diddy’s son, Christian “King” Combs, recently entered the fray with a diss track titled “Pick a Side.” The song defends his father while taking a lyrical swipe at 50 Cent:

“All that gossip sh*t is whack when all they had was 50 Cent / Who put this city on the map? Stop lying.”

50 responded with a sarcastic Instagram post:

“I feel so threatened by the things Christian is saying on his record. I’m afraid for my life, please don’t hurt me guys.”

A Conflict That Won’t Cool Off

Despite Diddy’s legal battles and shifting public perception, 50 Cent shows no signs of relenting. Whether out of genuine animosity or a flair for provocation, he continues to use his massive online platform to troll his longtime rival—keeping their beef firmly in the public eye. With Combs’ trial ongoing, and 50 reportedly working on a Netflix docuseries about the allegations, the drama between the two is far from over.
