In a heartbreaking development, longtime American Idol music supervisor Robin Kaye and her husband, Thomas DeLuca, were discovered dead in their Encino, Los Angeles home on Monday. Both victims, aged 70, suffered fatal gunshot wounds, according to authorities.
The Los Angeles Police Department conducted a welfare check at the couple’s residence, where the tragic discovery was made. A spokesperson from American Idol later confirmed the couple’s identities and expressed deep sorrow over the loss.

Police announced on Tuesday the arrest of 22-year-old Raymond Boodarian in connection with the double homicide. Investigators allege that Boodarian had broken into the couple’s home on July 10 while they were away. Upon their return, he reportedly shot both victims before fleeing the scene on foot.
As of now, Boodarian has not been assigned a public defender and remains unavailable for comment.
