Tragic Loss: ‘American Idol’ Music Supervisor and Husband Found Dead in LA Home

In a heartbreaking development, longtime American Idol music supervisor Robin Kaye and her husband, Thomas DeLuca, were discovered dead in their Encino, Los Angeles home on Monday. Both victims, aged 70, suffered fatal gunshot wounds, according to authorities.

The Los Angeles Police Department conducted a welfare check at the couple’s residence, where the tragic discovery was made. A spokesperson from American Idol later confirmed the couple’s identities and expressed deep sorrow over the loss.

“Robin has been a cornerstone of the Idol family since 2009 and was truly loved and respected by all who came in contact with her,” the spokesperson said. “She will always be remembered, and our thoughts are with her loved ones.”

Police announced on Tuesday the arrest of 22-year-old Raymond Boodarian in connection with the double homicide. Investigators allege that Boodarian had broken into the couple’s home on July 10 while they were away. Upon their return, he reportedly shot both victims before fleeing the scene on foot.

As of now, Boodarian has not been assigned a public defender and remains unavailable for comment.

The incident has left colleagues, friends, and fans of American Idol mourning the loss of a valued member of the show’s creative team and her husband.
