Saeed Ajmal turned back the clock with a masterful bowling display, registering the best figures in World Championship of Legends (WCL) history as Pakistan Champions crushed Australia Champions at Grace Road on Tuesday.
The veteran off-spinner delivered a magical spell of 6 wickets for just 16 runs, becoming the first player to claim a five-wicket haul in the tournament’s history and surpassing the previous best of 4/11 set by West Indies’ Fidel Edwards earlier in the competition.

He struck again in his next over to remove Ben Cutting, before sealing his record-breaking figures by removing Peter Siddle and Steve O’Keefe in his final over.
Thanks to Ajmal’s brilliance, Australia Champions were bundled out for just 74 runs.
Pakistan Champions, in response, chased down the target with ease. Openers Sharjeel Khan (32 not out) and Sohaib Maqsood (28 not out) put on a commanding partnership, steering their team to a 10-wicket victory in just 7.3 overs.
