On July 22, 2025, Director General of Sports Punjab Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry announced a one-year scholarship program for the players of Pakistan’s Asian Under-16 Volleyball Championship-winning team, celebrating their historic triumph. The announcement came during a meeting in Lahore, where Chaudhry lauded the young athletes for their outstanding achievement.

Chaudhry personally congratulated the players, highlighting their dedication, discipline, and teamwork in securing the championship title with a remarkable victory over Iran in the final. As part of the initiative, players in the Platinum category will receive a monthly stipend of Rs70,000 to support their training and development. “This victory is a testament to their hard work and a proud moment for Pakistan,” Chaudhry said, emphasizing the Sports Department’s commitment to nurturing talent.
