Pakistan’s rising snooker star Muhammad Hasnain Akhtar made the nation proud by securing a commanding 4–0 victory over Wales’ Riley Powell to win the IBSF World U-17 Snooker Championship held in Bahrain.
The international competition saw participation from 32 young players representing 14 countries, making Hasnain’s win a significant achievement on the global stage. His performance showcased not just personal talent but also the growing potential of Pakistan’s youth in cue sports.
Following his triumph, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi congratulated Hasnain, praising his exceptional skill and composure. “This victory is a testament to the hard work and capability of our young athletes,” Naqvi stated, adding that Hasnain’s success serves as an inspiration for future sports talent in the country.
