Pakistan Army achieved a significant milestone in its modernization journey as Field Marshal Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), formally presided over the induction ceremony of the advanced Z-10ME attack helicopters during his visit to Multan Garrison. The ceremony symbolized not just a technological upgrade, but also Pakistan’s firm resolve to stay ahead in modern warfare and regional defense preparedness.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the newly-inducted Z-10ME helicopters are state-of-the-art, all-weather aerial platforms capable of conducting precision strike operations both day and night. These helicopters are equipped with modern radar systems, night vision sensors, and electronic warfare suites, enabling the Pakistan Army to effectively engage diverse aerial and ground threats across complex terrains.
“Z-10ME significantly enhances the Army’s capability to deliver decisive combat effects and maintain a strategic edge in evolving conflict environments,” stated ISPR.
🔥 Firepower Demonstration & Tactical Strength
The COAS also attended a live firepower demonstration at the Muzaffargarh Field Firing Ranges, where the Z-10ME helicopters displayed their tactical strength in simulated battlefield conditions. The demonstration highlighted the aircraft’s lethal precision and the Army’s integrated combat approach using modern platforms.
ISPR emphasized that the induction of this system is a major leap forward in enhancing the Army Aviation Corps’ operational efficiency and reflects the military’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its battlefield readiness.
💬 Troop Interaction & Morale
During his interaction with troops stationed at Multan Garrison, Field Marshal Munir commended the soldiers for their outstanding morale, discipline, and commitment. He praised their professionalism and noted that Pakistan Army’s readiness and ability to adapt to new challenges are crucial in the era of hybrid warfare and rapid technological change.
He also expressed full satisfaction over the formation’s training standards and operational preparedness, reiterating that modern warfare demands both technological advancement and personnel excellence.
🧠 Emphasis on Civil-Military Synergy
In a notable part of his visit, COAS Asim Munir held a dialogue session with members of academia and civil society, where he stressed the importance of civil-military harmony in defending the nation against both external threats and internal disinformation campaigns.
“Our strength lies in unity — in institutions, in communities, and between the armed forces and the people. A whole-of-nation approach is essential for building resilience against hybrid threats and ensuring long-term national stability,” he said.
The induction of the Z-10ME helicopters represents more than just a military enhancement — it’s a strong declaration of Pakistan’s resolve to defend its sovereignty, improve strategic capabilities, and foster national unity amid evolving regional and global challenges.
