Pakistan and Egypt Deepen Ties with Focus on Health Sector Collaboration

In a renewed effort to bolster bilateral ties, Pakistan and Egypt have expressed a strong commitment to enhancing cooperation in the healthcare domain. This came during a significant meeting in Cairo between Pakistan’s Ambassador to Egypt, Aamir Shouket, and Egypt’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar.

The Pakistan Embassy in Egypt shared details of the meeting via an official post on platform X, highlighting the positive momentum in the longstanding relationship between the two countries. The discussions took place at Egypt’s Ministry of Health and Population and centered on broadening areas of collaboration—particularly in health-related fields.

Key points of the dialogue included strengthening partnerships in public health services, advancing medical education and training programs, fostering pharmaceutical cooperation, and encouraging institutional knowledge exchange. Both sides acknowledged the value of joint initiatives aimed at uplifting the healthcare standards in their respective nations.
