England international Kyle Walker-Peters has officially joined West Ham United on a free transfer, signing a three-year deal with the East London club. The 28-year-old full-back arrives after a lengthy and consistent spell at Southampton, where he made over 200 appearances across all competitions.
A product of the Tottenham Hotspur academy, Walker-Peters became a mainstay at Southampton, featuring in 33 Premier League matches last season. Despite his efforts, the Saints endured a difficult campaign, culminating in the earliest relegation in Premier League history.
Capped twice by England in 2022, Walker-Peters expressed excitement about the next chapter of his career.
“It feels like it has been a long time coming. I’ve been linked with West Ham before and I’m just happy to finally be here,” he said in a club statement. “Speaking with coach Graham Potter played a big role in my decision—I’ve always admired his coaching style, and I believe it aligns perfectly with how I like to play.”
West Ham, who finished 14th in the Premier League last season, are looking to rebuild under Potter and will kick off their 2025–26 campaign away to newly-promoted Sunderland on August 16.
