Karachi Couple Blessed with Quintuplets, Appeals for Financial Help Amid Medical Challenges

In a rare and emotional turn of events, a young couple from Baldia Town, Karachi, has welcomed quintuplets — three girls and two boys — following an emergency cesarean section at a private hospital. This marks the couple’s first childbirth, just a year into their marriage.

The quintuplets were born prematurely, arriving several weeks ahead of schedule. Doctors report that the newborns are severely underweight and have experienced complications including breathing difficulties. All five infants are currently receiving intensive care and remain under round-the-clock medical supervision.

Speaking to Samaa TV, the father, Adnan Sheikh, expressed both immense gratitude and growing anxiety. “We are truly blessed, but the situation is also overwhelming. I never imagined becoming the father of five at once,” he said. “The hospital bills are beyond what I can manage. I’m appealing to the public and government for support to help my children survive.”

The hospital confirmed that while the babies’ condition has shown slight improvement, their early birth poses continued health risks that require long-term care and specialized treatment.

Adnan, visibly emotional, said his only wish is to see his children grow healthy and strong. “This is a test and a gift. We are doing all we can, but we need help.”

The family’s story has begun to gain attention across media platforms, sparking calls for public and charitable support. As the infants fight for survival, the couple now looks to their community and the nation for solidarity and assistance in this critical time.
