‘Kaanta Laga’ Fame Shefali Jariwala Passes Away at 42 Due to Suspected Cardiac Arrest

Indian entertainment industry mourns the sudden loss of actress and model Shefali Jariwala, who passed away at the age of 42. Popularly known as the “Kaanta Laga Girl,” Shefali became a household name following her breakout role in the 2002 music video that shot her to instant fame.

According to sources, Shefali suffered a suspected cardiac arrest late Friday night. She was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Andheri by her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, along with close friends. Sadly, doctors pronounced her dead upon arrival, with medical staff confirming she had passed before reaching the facility.

Her body was subsequently transferred to Cooper Hospital for a post-mortem. While cardiac arrest is believed to be the cause, official confirmation is still awaited. As of now, Shefali’s family has not issued a public statement.

Shefali Jariwala carved a unique space in the Indian entertainment landscape. Aside from her iconic debut in Kaanta Laga, she appeared in films such as Mujhse Shaadi Karogi and later reconnected with a new generation of fans through reality shows like Bigg Boss 13 and Nach Baliye.

Admired for her elegance, poise, and candid personality, Shefali had a lasting influence on fans and peers alike. She is survived by her husband, Parag Tyagi, known for his work in Hindi television dramas.

Her untimely death has sparked an outpouring of tributes and condolences across social media, with fans and celebrities expressing shock and sorrow over the loss of one of the industry’s most recognizable faces.
