Humayun Saeed Calls ‘Love Guru’ His Most Ambitious and Costly Film Yet

Acclaimed Pakistani actor and producer Humayun Saeed has revealed that his upcoming film Love Guru is the most expensive project of his career, with a reported production budget exceeding PKR 250 million.

In a recent interview with Something Haute, where he appeared alongside fellow superstar Mahira Khan, Saeed opened up about his return to filmmaking and shared insights into the challenges and ambitions that shaped Love Guru. “This is my most costly film so far,” Saeed stated, adding, “I’m very hopeful it will not only recover its investment but also go beyond expectations.”

A Grand Comeback to Filmmaking

After a two-year break from film production, Saeed is now focused on consistently contributing to the Pakistani film industry. “The goal is to produce at least one film each year,” he said. “If I do two in a year, I’ll act in one and cast another lead in the second.”

His return comes at a time when the Pakistani cinema landscape is slowly regaining momentum after several years of setbacks due to economic challenges and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Government Support and Industry Growth

During the interview, Saeed also discussed the Pakistani government’s new initiative to support local filmmakers. The plan, according to him, includes financial aid and other incentives for small-scale producers. While he has not yet received any assistance himself, he expressed optimism about securing funding for his future projects.

“This kind of support could really help independent filmmakers and bring more diversity to our cinema,” he said.

High Hopes for Love Guru

Love Guru marks a turning point for Saeed, not just in terms of budget but also ambition. With a production cost of over PKR 250 million, the film is expected to set new benchmarks for local commercial cinema in terms of scale and storytelling. While plot details remain under wraps, expectations are high among fans and industry watchers.

Saeed, known for blockbuster hits like Punjab Nahi Jaungi and Jawani Phir Nahi Ani, has a proven track record of pulling audiences to the theaters. His confidence in Love Guru signals a belief that Pakistani films can continue to compete with international content—if backed by strong storytelling, quality production, and wide-reaching support.

In Summary:
Humayun Saeed’s Love Guru is not just another film—it’s his biggest bet yet on the future of Pakistani cinema. With industry support slowly growing and a renewed commitment to storytelling, Saeed’s return could be a major boost for the local film landscape.
