Government Approves 15% Pension Hike for EOBI Beneficiaries

In a major move aimed at supporting the working class, the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development has announced a 15% increase in pensions for all registered workers under the Employees’ Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI).

This pension boost is part of a broader relief package introduced to improve the financial well-being of the country’s labor force. In addition to the pension raise, the marriage grant offered to registered workers has been doubled, marking a 100% increase, while the death grant has been raised by 50%, providing greater financial support during emergencies.

The ministry highlighted that these steps are part of Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain’s commitment to enhancing social protection and uplifting the lives of Pakistan’s labor community.

“These initiatives underscore the government’s dedication to ensuring a more secure and dignified future for our workers,” a ministry spokesperson said.

The enhanced benefits are expected to offer meaningful relief to thousands of low-income pensioners and their families across the country.
