Durefishan Saleem Shuts Down Secret Marriage Rumors with Bilal Abbas Khan

Rising television star Durefishan Saleem has finally broken her silence on persistent rumors suggesting she secretly married fellow actor Bilal Abbas Khan. The Ishq Murshid actress dismissed the speculation as entirely baseless and called out the growing trend of unchecked reporting in Pakistan’s entertainment media.

In a recent interview, Durefishan addressed the topic head-on, saying, “These claims have no truth whatsoever. If such a big event had really happened, the world would have seen it — pictures would be everywhere.”

The actress clarified that while she shares an easygoing, friendly bond with Bilal Abbas Khan, their connection is strictly professional. “There was mutual respect and comfort on set. We laughed a lot and enjoyed working together, but it was all part of the work,” she said.

Rumors of a secret marriage were sparked last year when a YouTuber alleged that the two actors had quietly tied the knot, citing their on-screen chemistry and frequent joint appearances during the promotion of Ishq Murshid. The speculation quickly gained traction online.

Without directly naming the source, Durefishan criticized the practice of turning gossip into headlines. “It’s unfortunate that personal lives are turned into content without a shred of verification. Marriage is a private decision — and if it had happened, it wouldn’t be something to hide.”

She also expressed concern about the shift toward sensationalism in entertainment journalism. “We’re starting to see a pattern that mirrors tabloid-style Indian journalism — where facts matter less than clicks,” she noted.

Reflecting on her career, Durefishan shared her gratitude for the support she’s received. “I’ve only been in the industry for five years, and the love I’ve gotten sometimes overwhelms me. It pushes me to be more careful and selective with the work I take on.”

As for her rumored relationship with Bilal Abbas, Durefishan has set the record straight — with grace, clarity, and a reminder that actors, too, deserve their privacy.
