Charli XCX and George Daniel Celebrate Their Wedding in London

British pop icon Charli XCX and George Daniel, the drummer from the acclaimed band The 1975, are officially married.

The couple exchanged vows over the weekend, with a representative for Daniel confirming the joyous news to the Associated Press. The wedding took place in London, where the pair were spotted outside the iconic Hackney Town Hall on Saturday. Daniel donned a classic suit, while Charli turned heads in a stylish Vivienne Westwood bridal mini dress, as reported by Vogue.

Though Charli’s team hasn’t released an official statement yet, the singer shared a playful glimpse of the big day on TikTok. In the short video, she’s seen wearing her wedding dress, accompanied by a cheeky caption:

“When George isn’t crying when he sees me walking down the aisle,”
followed by a reassuring note:
“Luckily, he did.”

Born Charlotte Emma Aitchison, Charli XCX has made a name for herself as a genre-defying pop star since breaking through in 2012 with the smash hit “I Love It”, performed by Icona Pop. She further cemented her place in pop culture with “Fancy,” her collaboration with rapper Iggy Azalea, and has continued to push musical boundaries with her work alongside the experimental collective PC Music. Her latest album, “BRAT,” has been praised for its energetic and bold sound, capturing the spirit of summer with unapologetic flair.

George Daniel, on the other hand, is celebrated not just as the driving percussion behind The 1975, but also as a sought-after producer and DJ. Known for his creative vision and musical versatility, Daniel has played a significant role in shaping the band’s distinctive sound.

The couple—who first confirmed their engagement in 2023—have shared both personal and professional chemistry, having collaborated on multiple songs from Charli’s latest project. Daniel co-wrote and co-produced two tracks on “BRAT”, further blending their romantic and artistic worlds.

With their wedding, Charli and George mark the beginning of a new chapter—one that fans hope continues to blend love, music, and creative synergy.
