Cement Sales in Pakistan Surge by Over 30% in July 2025

Pakistan’s cement industry saw a remarkable upswing in July 2025, with total sales increasing by 30.13% compared to the same period last year. According to data released by the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA), the industry sold 3.997 million tons of cement in July 2025, up from 3.071 million tons in July 2024.

Domestic sales accounted for 2.988 million tons, reflecting an 18.40% rise compared to 2.524 million tons sold in the local market in July 2024.

Cement exports also recorded significant growth, jumping by 84.21%. Export volumes climbed from 0.547 million tons in July 2024 to 1.008 million tons in July 2025.

Breaking down regional performance, cement plants in northern Pakistan sold 2.650 million tons during July 2025, a 17.61% increase from 2.253 million tons in July 2024. Southern region factories showed even stronger growth, with sales hitting 1.35 million tons—an impressive 64.64% rise from 0.818 million tons a year earlier.

In the domestic market alone, northern factories sold 2.419 million tons, marking a 12.26% year-on-year increase. Southern factories contributed 569,954 tons to local sales in July 2025, a 54.23% rise from 369,557 tons in July 2024.

Export-wise, the north recorded a dramatic 133.96% increase, with shipments rising from 99,020 tons to 231,665 tons. Southern regions also posted a strong export growth of 73.22%, climbing from 448,242 tons in July 2024 to 776,459 tons in July 2025.

The substantial growth in both domestic consumption and international demand suggests a positive outlook for Pakistan’s cement industry as infrastructure development and construction activity gain momentum.
