Fire at KP House Islamabad Brought Under Control, Say Rescue Officials

Emergency teams have successfully contained a fire that erupted in the basement of the S-1 Block at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) House in Islamabad, rescue officials confirmed on Thursday.

Initial investigations suggest the blaze was triggered by an electrical short circuit. The fire originated in an area of the building designated for guest accommodation.

Rescue and fire brigade teams arrived swiftly after receiving the alert, taking immediate action to extinguish the flames and secure the premises. As a safety measure, the block was promptly evacuated during the firefighting operation.

Police officials stated that the S-1 Block is primarily used to host visitors and guests of KP House.

Thanks to the quick response of emergency services, the fire was controlled before it could spread further. No injuries or casualties were reported, and structural damage to the building was minimized.

Authorities have confirmed that the situation is now under control and the premises have been declared safe.
