Shehbaz Sharif, Hafiz Naeem Voice Deep Alarm Over Israeli Strikes in Gaza

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Hafiz Naeemur Rehman have strongly condemned the ongoing Israeli military offensive in Gaza, expressing serious concern over the worsening humanitarian crisis faced by Palestinians.

In a telephonic discussion, the two leaders exchanged views on the escalating situation in the besieged region, particularly highlighting Israel’s continued blockade of humanitarian aid, which has resulted in acute food shortages and suffering for the civilian population.

Prime Minister Shehbaz denounced the targeting of innocent Palestinians and reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering moral and diplomatic support for the Palestinian cause. He assured that Pakistan would continue to raise its voice forcefully at international forums against what he described as Israel’s “inhumane and illegal aggression.”

He also praised Jamaat-e-Islami and the Alkhidmat Foundation for their efforts in delivering relief to Gaza’s war-affected communities, emphasizing the importance of solidarity and sustained humanitarian assistance.

JI Emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman echoed these sentiments, stating that the people of Palestine, as well as the broader Muslim world, look to Pakistan for moral leadership and active advocacy. “The resilience of the Palestinian people must be met with global support, and Pakistan has a crucial role to play in that mission,” he added.

Both leaders agreed on the urgency of intensified diplomatic efforts and united calls for an immediate end to the violence, the lifting of the siege on Gaza, and unrestricted access for humanitarian aid.

As Israel’s actions continue to draw international scrutiny, Pakistan’s leadership reiterated its commitment to standing shoulder to shoulder with the Palestinian people in their struggle for justice and freedom.
